Dates to Remember
International Nurses Day 12 May
Taking place every year on the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth, the theme for this year's International Nurses Day is "Our Nurses. Our Future." The International Council of Nurses have said that the greatest threat to global health is the workforce shortage and so investment in nursing, and the protection and safety of nurses is paramount. World Cocktail Day 13 May
Is yours a Margarita, a Negroni, or a Daiquiri? If you need an excuse to drink a cocktail, today is the day! Head to your local cocktail bar, order ready made cocktails for home, or make your own cocktails.

International Day of Families 15 May
With the global population reaching 8 billion at the end of 2022, this International Day of Families is recognising how changing demographics are impacting families around the world. More information can be found on the UN webpage.

Pub in the Park From 12 May across the Summer - various dates and venues
Pub in the Park is back again this year travelling across London and the South of England, kicking off in Wimbledon on 12 May. Tickets are available for all or parts of each weekend, and there's even a London All Access pass available, so book your place soon.
Family Studio: Objects of Intrigue, @ Royal Academy of Arts 21 May, Piccadilly, London
The RA's family studio programme is a series of monthly art-making workshops that are drop-in and open to families with children of all ages. On 21 May, the workshop focuses on making "colourful abstract sculptures from found and foraged objects", so unleash your inner creativity with the kids to create sculptures and memories. No tickets need to be purchased - this is a first come, first served event.
Chelsea Flower Show 23-27 May
With crowd numbers reaching 150,000 plus members of the Royal Family, the Chelsea Flower Show is a must-see event. The theme for this year is "the restorative power of gardens and gardening". Tickets are still available to buy, although the cheapest ones have sold out. Sporting Events
IBA Boxing World Championships, Uzbekistan 30 April -14 May
Although British boxers have boycotted the event this year - due to the future of the event in the Olympic programme, and the decision by the IBA to allow boxers from Russia and Belarus to compete under their national flags - fixtures, results and Live matches can be streamed from the IBA website.

The majority of football tournaments come to a close in May and June, so here are a roundup of the finals:

The French Open, Paris 28 May - 11 June
Although the King of Clay, Rafael Nadal's, position at the Roland Garros tournament this year is looking doubtful due to multiple injuries, there is still a huge line up of players looking to claim the title from the 14-time winner.
